3, new generation of mold CAD/CAM software technology
At present, mold software developed by some universities and research institutes in UK, USA and Germany has the characteristics of intellectualization and integration of new generation of CAD/CAM software and evaluation of mould manufacturability. Luo Baihui said that the new generation of mold software should be based on a large amount of knowledge summed up from the practice of mold design. The knowledge has been systematized and scientifically organized, which is stored in the engineering knowledge base in a specific form and can be easily invoked by the mold. In the new generation of mold software, manufacturability evaluation mainly includes the estimation of the cost of mold design and manufacturing, the evaluation of die assemblability, the manufacturability evaluation of mold parts, the evaluation of die structure and formability. The new generation of software should also have an assembly oriented function, because the function of the mold can only be embodied through its assembly structure. 4. Advanced rapid mold manufacturing technology
